The de minimus exemption - the duty-free threshold of $800USD of shipments of all countries including Canada was suspended on August 29th, 2025.
All postal shipments to the US will require prepaid duties before your package crosses the border.
Goods previously covered by de minimus are now subject to a duty equal to the effective tariff rate applicable the the product's country of origin under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
The current IEEPA rate for goods made in Canada is 35% for most products, this applies to my store and will be charged to the customer at checkout.
A Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) label will be printed alongside your shipping label.
The Court of Appeals and the Court of International Trade have deemed the tariffs imposed under IEEPA unlawful, and has taken the pending case to the Supreme Court with oral arguments heard on November 5th, 2025.
I can only hope something good will come with the final verdict but unfortunately won't get my hopes up given the lack of rebuttal towards the extreme misconduct of the current US administration.
I'm so sorry that as a customer, you must take the brunt of these tariffs.
Will my order going to Europe or any other international location have additional fees?
All shipments to Europe will have VAT unpaid during shipping.
I am not currently required or registered to collect VAT, GST, or any other taxes or fees on behalf of your country's tax or customs authorities. International customers will be responsible for paying any customs and import taxes that may apply.
I haven't had any problems with parcels going through after GSPR went into effect and doing some test runs with people who wanted to buy some of my work and were willing to give it a shot. Thankfully I still haven't noticed or been informed of any compliance problems. Since the laws were set in place with no regard to small businesses, I'm completely in the dark, sadly.
If anything possibly happens in the future, I can fully refund any orders that are returned after being denied entry into the EU.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from a few business days to 2 weeks to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service and location. I find orders to the United States average 2-4 weeks and international averages 2-6 weeks depending on the shipping service selected.
Will my order have tracking?
Tracked shipping available by default for Canada for non letter mail products.
Stickers and small/medium prints - sent by letter mail are by default not tracked.
If tracking is preferred, you must upgrade to the tracked option.
International orders have the checkout option of Un-tracked Surface or Air Mail, or Tracked Packet International. If you are ordering internationally and would like tracking, you must select the Tracked Packet option, or your parcel will ship with no tracking number.
